Meet the Team in Sugar Hill, GA

Kristin is Sweet City Smiles’ office manager and yes, Dr. Chang’s wife! After listening to Dr. Chang talk about teeth for their entire relationship, she decided to join in the fun and put her office management experience to use at Sweet City Smiles. Her favorite part of being an office manager is building relationships with patients. She believes that serving and supporting others is her greatest purpose, and strives to make every patient feel welcome, supported, and respected.

Kristin grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia by way of Louisiana, New Hampshire, and Colorado. She has two degrees from the University of Georgia and a graduate certificate from Georgia State University. Fun fact: Kristin and Dr. Chang went to the same high school and the same college but never met until after they both graduated! In her spare time, Kristin enjoys reading, volunteering, and moonlighting as a Disney travel agent.

Breanne is a Sweet City Smiles’ Treatment Coordinator. Her favorite part about dentistry is building patient relationships and seeing the difference a confident smile can make on someone’s life. Breanne has a strong belief that her purpose is to help and serve others in all aspects of life.

Breanne is from a small town just outside of Athens and moved to the Sugar Hill area in 2017. She attended Lanier Tech for Media and Design. In her spare time, she enjoys roller skating, trying new cuisines, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Anna is a Sweet City Smiles’ Insurance Coordinator. She enjoys helping people achieve a happier and healthier life. It is meaningful to Anna to work for a practice that truly cares for each patient’s individual needs and goals.

Anna grew up in Norcross, and attended Georgia State University for Exercise Science. Her faith is very important to her and she loves spending time with family and friends. Ask Anna about her pet gecko!

Azra is a Sweet City Smiles Patient Coordinator. Her passion is helping connect patients with care that will make an impact on their overall health. She is a believer that health is wealth!

Azra fell in love with dentistry in her early 20’s while working in a hospital residency program as an office coordinator. She worked with patients that had serious medical conditions and helped connect them with dental professionals to get them out of pain. This experience was very rewarding, especially helping patients in underserved communities. During her downtime, Azra enjoys cooking and finding new recipes that she can customize to create new dishes.

Ioana is a Sweet City Smiles Hygienist. She is very passionate about dentistry and was a dental assistant prior to becoming a hygienist. She takes great pride in helping patients improve their oral health and loves seeing their transformation to a healthier smile.

Ioana was born and raised in Romania and was actually a lawyer before moving to the states! After moving here, she completed her degree in Dental Hygiene at Georgia State. Ioana loves working with kids because she has two beautiful children of her own. She enjoys cooking for her family, friends (and our team) and also grows fresh vegetables right in her own backyard!

Kieu is a Sweet City Smiles Hygienist. She excels at comforting patients who have dental anxiety as well as empowering them to feel in control of their dental health.

Kieu was born and raised in Atlanta and even worked at the hospital where she was born! She finished her degree as a hygienist at Georgia State University. In her free time, Kieu enjoys hiking and would love to travel around the world one day. She also loves animals, especially dogs, and would like to be a dog trainer after she retires from being a hygienist.

Janette is a Sweet City Smiles Hygienist. Her favorite part of her job is establishing relationships with patients and making them feel comfortable. It is very important to Janette that patients feel in control of their oral health and know they are in a judgment-free zone.

Janette originally became interested in dentistry due to her own personal experiences with how to better her own oral health. She earned a dual degree at Georgia State University in Dental Hygiene and Health Sciences. Janette was born and raised in Georgia but loves her Mexican roots. In her free time, she loves expressing her artistic side by doing makeup and playing soccer or volleyball with family and friends.

Maitri is a Sweet City Smiles Hygienist. She is very compassionate about providing exceptional dental care and was a dental assistant prior to becoming a hygienist. She also worked with Dr. Chang in past as an assistant and now she joins our team as hygienist. She is passionate about educating patients on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and takes the time to address their questions and concerns. Her friendly demeanor and attention to detail create a comfortable and positive dental experience for all our patients.

Maitri was born and raised in India and was actually a Dentist before moving to the states! After moving here, she completed her degree in Dental Hygiene at Florida State University. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exploring, baking and also napping!

Judy is a Sweet City Smiles’ Dental Assistant and has been with our team from the very beginning! She was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, and now lives in Sugar Hill with her two wonderful children Julie and Leandro. She is very outgoing and always carries a smile on her face. She enjoys working out in her free time and loves cheering on her two kids in everything they do.

Judy’s interest in dentistry came from her sister, who is also a dental assistant. She loves caring for patients and has also been a tremendous help as a Spanish interpreter when the need arises. Plus, she’s helping the team improve their “Español” as well! Judy’s connection with our patients and her incredible work ethic make her a tremendous asset to our team.

Amira is a Sweet City Smiles’ Dental Assistant. Since she was little, she always loved going to the dentist. Despite being new to dentistry, her favorite part is being able to build relationships with patients, and the fast-paced environment where she always learns something new!

Amira recently graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelors degree in biology. Amira was born in Switzerland, but both of her parents are from Bosnia and Herzegovina. She loves to spend time being in the sun and playing board games with her family!

Anika is a Sweet City Smiles Dental Assistant. She is passionate about prioritizing her patients’ overall health. She knows life can be busy, and finding time for proper oral healthcare can be challenging, so that’s why she’s committed to helping her patients achieve it. Her passion extends to helping others achieve their college dreams, as she worked as a summer counselor for UNG’s Upward Bound program. Dentistry captured her attention back in high school, and her journey began in earnest during her freshman year of college, shadowing at SCS.

Anika was born and raised in Sugar Hill. She’s a proud alumnus of the University of North Georgia, where she majored in Biology. When she’s not immersed in the world of teeth, you can find her indulging in her other interests. Anika loves dancing, trying out new team sports, the energy of live music, spending time with her best friends, boat riding, fishing, and watching documentaries

Anika’s energy, curiosity, and love for her community make her a valuable addition to the Sweet City Smiles team.
