As the Office Manager at Sweet City Smiles, Breanne thrives on learning new skills, tackling challenges, and working alongside a dedicated team. She finds fulfillment in seeing patients regain their oral health and loves being part of a practice that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

Originally from Athens, Georgia, Breanne studied Graphic Media and Design at Lanier Technical College, earning her certification in 2018. She transitioned into the dental field at the beginning of 2022 and has been a valued member of the Sweet City Smiles team.

Outside of work, Breanne enjoys spending time with family and friends and has a passion for roller skating. She and her husband were married in 2022 and share their home with two beloved cats. Coming from a big family filled with joy and laughter, she cherishes every opportunity to create meaningful moments with loved ones. They’re sure to bring a smile to her face, as is the chance to embrace each new day with gratitude.

As the Business Manager of Sweet City Smiles, Kristin plays a vital role in keeping the practice running smoothly. She loves supporting the team and finds joy in seeing the Sweet City Smiles team working together to create a positive, uplifting experience for every patient. The more seamless the operations, the more fun everyone can have while providing comprehensive dental care! Kristin was born outside of New Orleans, spent part of her childhood in Colorado, and has called Georgia home for over 20 years.

She attended the University of Georgia, earning degrees in International Affairs and Romance Languages (French and Spanish) in 2013. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Social Enterprise from Georgia State University.

Before joining us, Kristin worked for a nonprofit planning cultural exchange programs for international guests of the U.S. State Department. When Dr. Chang was preparing to open Sweet City Smiles, he convinced her to transition into dentistry, and she has been with the practice ever since. Outside of work, Kristin enjoys reading, traveling—especially to Disney World and Los Angeles—practicing foreign languages and being involved in her church community.

She and Dr. Chang love spending time with their families, including their two nephews, and their two dogs, Finley and Ellie.

Emely is Sweet City Smiles’ Patient Coordinator and has worked in the dental field for a decade. She loves seeing patients happy with their smiles and enjoys making their experience at the practice smooth and welcoming.

Born in Punta del Este, Uruguay, Emely moved to Georgia when she was eight years old. She earned an associate degree in Health Science from Gwinnett Tech in 2017 and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting at Georgia Gwinnett College.

In her free time, Emely enjoys reading, exploring new restaurants, and spending quality time with her family. She and her husband, Bryan, have a son, Kai, who keeps them busy and full of joy. A good cup of coffee and a beautiful sunny day always bring a smile to Emely’s face.

As the Treatment Coordinator at Sweet City Smiles, Sommer is passionate about helping patients receive the best care possible. With a background in advertising and marketing for over a decade before transitioning into dentistry, she brings a unique perspective and dedication to patient education and support. Sommer feels incredibly fortunate to work with a team that truly prioritizes patient well-being. She smiles when patients feel confident with healthy, beautiful smiles.

Born and raised in Georgia, Sommer pursued her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification at Lanier Technical College, graduating in 2019. She has been in the dental field for six years and has been part of the Sweet City Smiles team since 2024.

Outside of the office, Sommer enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and exploring Georgia’s green spaces when the weather is nice. Most of her free time is dedicated to volleyball tournaments and practices with her youngest daughter, who plays full-time through school and club teams. Sommer and her husband have three children and a miniature schnauzer who completes their family.

Chary was born and raised in Georgia and is a proud graduate of Georgia State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology. Her academic background sparked a lasting interest in understanding human behavior, communication, and motivation—all of which influence her thoughtful, people-centered approach to her work.

Outside of work, Chary enjoys spending time outdoors and getting lost in a good book. She loves being part of a book club, where she can connect with others over great stories and lively discussions.

Chary also loves to travel with her husband, exploring new places and cultures together. At home, she shares her space with two black cats, Lola and Lucy.

Judy has been with Sweet City Smiles for six years, bringing a warm and personal touch to patient care as a dental assistant. With seven years of experience in the dental field, she enjoys interacting with patients, getting to know them, and building lasting connections. For Judy, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients is one of the most rewarding parts of her job.

Originally from Colombia, Judy spent half of her life there before moving to New York. She holds certifications as a dental assistant and interpreter, and is CPR certified. Her diverse background and skills allow her to provide exceptional care while ensuring patients feel heard and understood.

When she’s not assisting us here, Judy enjoys going to the gym and cherishing time with her two children and granddaughter. Her daughter, Julie, is a marketing and communications manager, while her son, Leandro, is in his final semester at Piedmont University, where he was recently recognized as Men’s Swimmer of the Year for his record- breaking achievements. Judy is incredibly proud of her family and loves watching them thrive. Working alongside an amazing team that truly cares—both for each other and for their patients—brings joy to Judy’s day.

Amira has been a valued member of the Sweet City Smiles team for four years, and it was here that she first discovered her passion for dentistry. She is devoted to providing patients with knowledge they can use for a lifetime and finds fulfillment in giving back to those who need it.

Born in Switzerland to a Bosnian family displaced by war, Amira grew up here in Georgia and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia State University. Her background has given her a deep appreciation for community and the importance of care in every aspect of life.

In her free time, Amira enjoys camping, kayaking, and spending quality time with her family. She finds joy in cherished family moments, whether enjoying nature or sharing quality time with loved ones.

Anika joined the Sweet City Smiles team as a dental assistant in 2023. She enjoys meeting new patients, educating them on the prevention of dental disease, and making their visits positive. One of her favorite procedures is teeth whitening. Seeing the dramatic before-and-after results never gets old!

A Sugar Hill native, Anika earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Georgia in 2022. She is fascinated by biology and conservation, always eager to expand her knowledge of the natural world.

In her spare time, Anika enjoys hiking before sunrise to take in breathtaking views, reading mystery novels, fairytales, and memoirs, and spending time with her three younger brothers and three dogs. Her family loves playing card games, going to Topgolf, skating, and kayaking together. Laughter with friends, time with family, the energy of live music, and a warm cup of coffee always make Anika smile. She is also known among her friends as the go-to person for dental advice-she’s so passionate about dentistry that she could talk about it for hours!

Morgan is a Dental Assistant at Sweet City Smiles. Her dedication to our patients is fueled by her love for the hands-on nature of dentistry and the opportunity to learn something new every day. She finds joy in working closely with patients and appreciates the supportive, welcoming environment created by the members of our team.

Originally from northern Virginia, Morgan moved to Sugar Hill in 2014 and graduated from Lanier High School in 2021.
She began her dental career at Sweet City Smiles and is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for during their visits.

When she’s not helping patients, Morgan enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, and getting creative with arts and crafts. As the middle child in a family of five, she values strong connections and cherishes time with loved ones. Morgan’s family, friends, coworkers, patients, and especially animals bring joy and fun to her life.

With over 15 years of experience in the dental field, Ioana is very passionate about dentistry and was a dental assistant before becoming a hygienist. She is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthier smiles and takes pride in seeing results, especially from periodontal therapy. Ioana takes pride in making patients comfortable, paying extra attention to ensuring kids have a comfortable first visit – so they are not afraid to come back!

Originally from Romania, Ioana earned her dental hygiene degree from Georgia State University in 2019. Before coming to the US, she studied law in Romania and later became a dental assistant in the U.S. Outside of work, Ioana enjoys spinning classes, Pilates, cooking, shopping, and tending to her two vegetable gardens. Family is everything to her – she and her husband, who is also from Romania, have two children: a daughter who dreams of becoming a psychologist and a son, who loves basketball, soccer, and swimming. As a family, they enjoy traveling and staying active together. Her family, friends, and the joy of making patients feel welcome always bring a smile to Ioana’s face.

Kieu has been a dedicated dental hygienist for nearly a decade, bringing expertise and a compassionate approach to patient care at Sweet City Smiles since 2021. She loves making patients feel comfortable in the office and finds joy in seeing them leave feeling empowered about their oral health.

Born and raised in the Gwinnett area, Kieu earned her dental hygiene degree from Georgia State University in 2016. She is a Certified Registered Dental Hygienist and recently obtained certification to administer a local anesthetic, further enhancing her ability to provide gentle and effective care.

In her free time, Kieu enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching anime and movies, and continuously working on self- improvement—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Her family has grown in recent years with extended relatives immigrating from Vietnam, which has been an exciting adjustment. Kieu finds happiness in listening to people share their joys and watching them spread happiness to those they love.

Maitri is a Sweet City Smiles Hygienist. She is very compassionate about providing exceptional dental care and was a dental assistant prior to becoming a hygienist. She has also worked with Dr. Chang in the past as an assistant, and now she joins our team as a hygienist. She is passionate about educating patients on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and takes the time to address their questions and concerns. Her friendly demeanor and attention to detail create a comfortable and positive dental experience for all our patients.

Maitri was born and raised in India and was actually a dentist before moving to the states! After moving here, she completed her degree in Dental Hygiene at Florida State. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exploring, baking, and napping!

Stacia brings over 17 years of experience to Sweet City Smiles as a dedicated dental hygienist. She is devoted to getting to know her patients and coworkers, appreciating the unique personalities and experiences each person brings to the office. Stacia’s goal is to make every patient feel comfortable and cared for during their visit.

A Lawrenceville, Georgia native, Stacia studied biology at Gainesville State College and earned her dental hygiene certification from Lanier Technical School, graduating in 2011.

When she’s not helping patients achieve healthier smiles, Stacia enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, exercising, and exploring nature. She also loves making memories with her husband, their two daughters, and their dog. Stacia finds happiness in the simple joys that each day brings.
